  2. Just wanted to say this is a good product. We use it to keep track of equipment/servers at work. Especially helpful for storing info on clients that we sell dedicated hosting to.

  3. I am currently reviewing your product and I saw the QR Code details in your features.
    Is there ary way the QR Code details can get updated to the database and vice versa.
    OR where the QR code details are resided? Thanks!!

  5. It would be good to allow a user to select the location that an item is being checked in at. This will help track portable equipment that services more than one location/office.

    Press check in and a drop down list appears listing the locations. User selects their location and the Assets location is updated.

    You could get fancy and use the GPS in the phone to have the list select the current location which the user then just has to confirm or select another from the list.

  6. Scan the UPC bar code and perform an item lookup. This can then augment the actual record itself (if available).

    In another workflow...
    1. Scan new asset's UPC code. This data forms the basis for the asset entry.
    2. Confirm asset creation and entry. Edit if necessary.

  7. It is tedious to make large scale changes through the web interface. I would like the ability to view a table, or download a spreadsheet containing all of my asset info that could be directly edited, or in the case of a spreadsheet edited then uploaded.

    I'm aware of the mass import feature, but it did not work when I originally entered my assets and I'm not sure bulk edits are a good use for that feature anyway.

    Please let me know if bulk edits are possible, or if it's a feature you would consider implementing.

  8. The label template generator centers the text of the different elements that you can drop on the label. However, when the label is printed, all the is left justified. It would be nice if the printed text was also centered so we get more of a WYSIWYG template generator.

    We're a large South African Non-Profit organisation looking for a way to keep track of our tech assets (laptops, desktop computers, proximas, network and other printers).

    With your software, will we be able to easily see which staff member was allocated which computer and when? Or see which network printer is in use in what office?

    Will we be able to track to which staff member a alptop was first allocated? We usually only buy laptops for senior staff and reallocate their old laptops to more junior staff.

    Instead of putting a sticker with a QR code on…

  11. I can not seem to import a spreadsheet of assets. After uploading my sheet, I'm asked to Map Columns. After mapping all of the columns to existing fields and hitting "preview" - I am asked to map the columns again, despite the fact that I just mapped them. I can not get past this step (1/2)

    I have noticed a blank yellow notification box that pops-up when clicking "preview" - but it contains no information as to why i can't proceed past the map columns step.

  12. I'd love to have a comment box when checking out an asset so that I can input the name of an individual who may be usiing it but that does not have an account. Often we sign assets out for trips, etc. but these individuals may only be using the assets on one trip so creating a login and password for them does not make sense.

    Creating a comment box would also help to explain why an item is being checked out.

  15. I'm trying to do an inventory scan of all of our assets. It would be nice if you had the reports of the assets that could be organized to lists other than just "available" and "checked out". What would really help is if you could organize them by asset category, or have a series of organizations like, Available assets by category. And then also easily transferable to PDF form for printing. Which is an awesome feature already, in and of itself.

  16. It would be great if alerts could be set by each member. One member may not want any alerts or only want certain ones, while another member may want all alerts. If each admin member could set their own alerts, that would be very helpful.

  18. The website allow you to search by the item number if you have one. The iPhone only lets you filter it by a key word.

  20. Is there a way to add a calendar that shows which equipment has been requested (and by who) - to see upcoming check-outs at a glance?

    Also, and sorry if this already exist, but is there a way that I can see a list of pending check-outs? Someone requested a few items today, and now I can't seem to find a list of what those items are.
