Add new assets when in category view
It would be nice to have a "Create Assest" button when your in the category/group view.
(Maybe even have it auto fill the group with the one your currently viewing)

QR printing doesn't work
when sent to gmail mail accounts (or google apps mail accounts) the attachment with QR codes cannot be opened (clicking the link "click to download", referring to attachment does nothing) due to content ID mismatch with inline attachment. please fix

Unable to check items out in classification view
When I click the "check out" after i navigate through the classification view. It does nothing.... But the check in botton works.

Add subgroups
Would like to see subgroups and tertiary groups added.

"Events" for checkouts.
It would be nice to be able to create an event and then manage things per event.
For example,
We have two guys on a video shoot, each with checked out equipment.
It would be nice to see in 1 e-mail, the equipment checked out for that event, and who has it checked out.It would help with keeping things organized in that, I won't get 30 e-mails when someone checks out something for an event. (Instead, i will get 1 e-mail with the event, and all the items checked out for it.)

Sort things by name... (Not only access date)
Just being able to sort things Alphabetically by name or group...

Package check outs..
For some items, it would be nice to do a "Package" check out. For example, If we had a basic camera "Package" that contains the camera, battery, case, lens, ect. we could just check out that camera package rather then going through and checking them all out individually.

Items can have more then 1 group
For example, if we had a group called "Cables", which would have all of our cables, and then sub groups for HDMI cables, head cables, ect ect

user should be able to have a freedom to add an "n" number of field for generating an asset
- user should be able to search fast an item, currently there is no search function.

Custom fields
UI is great. Easy to quickly understand and use. Please consider adding custom fields to the assets for additional descriptions.

1. creation
2. association to a particular group(s)
3. option to make it a mandatory field
4. option to have it visible for staff users
5. searchableIf you feel there ought to be other feature sets around custom attributes, please post as a new idea. I am closing this ticket.

You need to help track inventory in the field
Here is a thing: I really don't see much pain in tracking office assets because... well, there aren't so many of them. Having employees check in and out assets seems a little over the board in my mind. But I do think it will be a fantastic tool to help track assets in the field. Meaning, help track assets in possession of employees who are not in the office. Such assets get lost much more often and it takes considerable time to locate them. This is great. I would suggest that there are more levels like:
Organization Names
Title
Location, Floor, Module, Cube/Office/Equipment room/Printing/copier room (if located in an employees office)
Responsible Support person
Lease start date or purchase date
Lease end date or decommission date
Asset depreciation/Assets depreciation
Asset Replacement option to replace current imputed assets
Purchasing Agent/Contract owner/Contract decision maker
Graphs by equipment type with contract, lease duration, lease end dates, Asset depreciation, Asset replacement, etc.6 votes
