Inventory tracking
I work in an environment where not only do I need to check in/out assets each employee will take into the field, but I also need to track my inventory of supplies for production as well. Example, I ordered 10 items of "X", scan the QR code, "X" shows up, select "check-in", enter 10 for quantity. 10 of "X" is now added to the shelf and as employees check out item "X", I can see it's running low and reorder. This is great. I would suggest that there are more levels like:
Organization Names
Title
Location, Floor, Module, Cube/Office/Equipment room/Printing/copier room (if located in an employees office)
Responsible Support person
Lease start date or purchase date
Lease end date or decommission date
Asset depreciation/Assets depreciation
Asset Replacement option to replace current imputed assets
Purchasing Agent/Contract owner/Contract decision maker
Graphs by equipment type with contract, lease duration, lease end dates, Asset depreciation, Asset replacement, etc.6 votes -
Allow disabling of staff notifications (and change of roles)
I've noticed that there is no way to disable notifications to staff members. In addition, there is no way to change or add roles.
In our use-case, we are looking to track assets that are used by clients (not staff) and we do not want our clients to get notifications from this system, it's simply for internally tracking where assets are, who has them, and that their lifecycles are.
I would suggest that you consider some functionality that would enable disabling staff notifications (ie...is an email address really required?) and the ability to add new roles that perhaps don't get…

Checking Out Assets
I'd love to have a comment box when checking out an asset so that I can input the name of an individual who may be usiing it but that does not have an account. Often we sign assets out for trips, etc. but these individuals may only be using the assets on one trip so creating a login and password for them does not make sense.
Creating a comment box would also help to explain why an item is being checked out.

"Stock" pictures
We use a lot of the same computer... is there any way to upload reusable images to our account so every time I enter a new item I can pick an image from my list of stock images?

Mass Delete Option?
When I retire a object, is it deleted?

Only the account owner can delete items in mass. The option can be enabled from Settings → Company Settings → Asset Deletion → Allow account owner to delete in mass → Enabled.
Once enabled you can go to Items → Assets → select a bunch of items → Action → Delete.regards

Assets can be in multiple packages
This would allow it so you could have an asset that is in one package that has other assets as well but then be in another package with different assets.

Page numbers at the top of the page
Put the page numbers at the top of the page. This way you don't need to scroll all the way down when entering product. This would be helpful when setting your page at 100 assets or inventory with pictures.

Show Make and Model fields on mobile app
We are having to put make and model information in the Name field so that we don't have 20 identical looking "Laptops" listed when applying filters for a certain model on the mobile app. Either add the ability to select the fields you want displayed in list view or just add make and model to the list view in some way.
6 votesAsset listing on mobile apps is now configurable. It uses your customization preference from the web app. You can choose the level of detail for asset listing on mobile from Settings → My settings → Customized Views on Mobile Apps

Add members to dashboard return calendar
It would be nice to see the member who is checking assets in and the equipment associated with that member instead of just a list of assets that are scheduled for return. Would also be great if I could click on that member's name and quickly take me to the list of assets to check in.

Custom Filters
It would be great to create custom filters, for example I want to see all assets that have certain value in the custom attributes

5 votesYou can now add “dropdown” custom fields. If you already have some that you had set up as Multiple Choice Radio Buttons, you can edit them to change their type to Dropdown.

"Events" for checkouts.
It would be nice to be able to create an event and then manage things per event.
For example,
We have two guys on a video shoot, each with checked out equipment.
It would be nice to see in 1 e-mail, the equipment checked out for that event, and who has it checked out.It would help with keeping things organized in that, I won't get 30 e-mails when someone checks out something for an event. (Instead, i will get 1 e-mail with the event, and all the items checked out for it.)

Service ticket by groups
To be able to create a service ticket by groups. So that you don't need to enter the same text for every asset in that group. This being very time consuming.
5 votesYou can now start/end the service of multiple assets from the Actions dropdown on the asset listing.
In your specific case you might want to do this through the group’s detail page.Summary of the new workflow:
- Starting a service puts an asset into maintenance state. It becomes available when you ‘End Service’.
- You can still add service tickets to an asset from Asset Detail Page → Services → Add a Service Ticket. This will merely enter a record and not put the asset into maintenance state. -
Edit Multiple Assets
a) To be able to assign one uploaded image to multiple assets
b) To be able to delete multiple assets at once

Scan multiple items for checkout
Allow users to scan multiple tools for checkout. I would suggest a mode which allows mobile app user to scan multiple tools for checkout/checkin, rather than having to check tools one at a time.

Reservations need work?
When i am on my Dashboard and looking at my calendar, I can not see current reservations. (Maybe i am missing something?)
The only way i can see reservations is to go to that specific item, and look at it's reservation, Only till then it shows that it is reserved, but does not specify my "special Note" which i write who it is for.

Multiple Choice Custom Attribute at checkin/checkout with history
I have setup a multiple choice custom attribute but there is no way to have the selection presented at check-in/check-out of assets, please include this. We prefer having a selection (radio/drop down) for users to choose of the most appropriate comment, rather than typing it in manually; these selections need to be tracked as history as well. This will aid in standardization of comments within our organisation.

in the main Assets tab it would be good to be able to select page 6 or 10 etc, without having to click on the page which is last in the selection area at the bottom of the page. for example i have 20 pages of assets, to get to page 4 i must click on page 3 then page four. to get to page 10 i have to click on page 3 then on the next furtherest away etc.
