Package check outs..
For some items, it would be nice to do a "Package" check out. For example, If we had a basic camera "Package" that contains the camera, battery, case, lens, ect. we could just check out that camera package rather then going through and checking them all out individually.

We have significantly enhanced our 'packaging' items together functionality in our Bundles and Packages features. Packages are for items that are 'always' checked in and out together where as bundles are for items that are 'likely' to be checked out together.
Here are more details with real life examples: http://blog.ezofficeinventory.com/bundles-and-packages/@Anonymous (Apr 17,2014): Do let us know what you think about our Bundles feature.

Works great! My only problem is now my coworkers go to check in items online and one checked in item in the package checks everything in at once.

I've been testing this out and it seems to be a nice implementation. Good job!

This feature is now live. To enable, visit the Settings page and check the Packages option. For associating multiple assets together, visit the asset detail page and press the 'Associate' button on the right to start associating other assets to this one.

Any status update so far?

You can make a package that contains everything that you need. For example, i have camera's and all its features, i then call the package Camera Set 1 and in description i give an overview of what inside the set. Just an idea...

This feature, or lack thereof, might be a deal breaker for me. So far I've really enjoyed how EZ this software is, but being able to check out "bundles," or at least have multiple groups for a single item and checking out entire groups would save me a LOT of time.
I'm looking forward to this feature being implemented soon!

When I say it's "difficult" to check-out, I mean "tedious"

I have a similar situation where I have products A, B, C, and D and they are all included in package X. Sometimes I want to check out a single product (say product C) and sometimes I want to check out the entire package. Right now I have the package set up as a group. Being able to Check-In or Check-Out an entire package is difficult, especially in the case of the mobile app.

We havent been able to schedule this in as yet due to a few higher priority items on the roadmap ie mobile apps and enhanced security roles.
I'll keep you posted as soon as we get around to this.

Yes,
If I had a custom field under the main assest that listed (Common/Associated Peripherals).
that i could just just "tic", "Check out along with box". Would work great. -
If the asset had its associated peripherals listed in the description or even in custom fields (feature under review), would that solve the issue?
Given that the asset and its peripherals must be checked out all or none, I'd recommend that you classify the assets in such a manner. Let me know if this works for you.
