For my company it would be ideal to have a way to "reserve" an asset. I believe the way it works right now, you have to checkout an asset and then give an estimated return date. In my company we sell cleaning equipment and have several demo units that my sales guys share. So sometimes if one of them knows he will need it for a big show coming up a few weeks out, he needs to put that item on reserve so the others know they cant take it, or it needs to be back by X date.

I think it would be great to add a feature like this where one could indicate that they will need the asset on a future date.
