Perform Item Lookup and Add Data to Record
Scan the UPC bar code and perform an item lookup. This can then augment the actual record itself (if available).
In another workflow...
1. Scan new asset's UPC code. This data forms the basis for the asset entry.
2. Confirm asset creation and entry. Edit if necessary.

The UPC bar code scanning workflow is already implemented. You need to ensure that the asset has the value of the barcode as its identifier and you're good to go. Click the scan button in our mobile app for scanning.For the second workflow, we do allow for creating a new asset and then associating a pre-existing barcode by scanning it (click the identifier in the new asset page and the camera icon on its side).
An additional workflow that we're currently working on is to have data matrix barcodes for populating all the fields of a new asset for a really quick and error-free way of creating assets.If you need any assistance or further details, please email us at info@ezofficeinventory.com
