add quantity option to assets
I understand that you can create quantities for inventory, but the problem is that you can not associate inventory to an asset. For example, I have batteries for all the gear I send out. No one needs to check these out individually, but If I have an asset for each (about 40) and I associate those assets then there is the chance of check out conflicts. If there was one asset with a quantity then I would know how many batteries I have and I could checkout the package and wouldn't have to jump through hoops to check out a battery if there is a conflict.
The simple fix might be a checkout option for inventory and being able to associate that inventory with an asset.
Did you try out our new feature called Bundles? You can enable this add on from Settings → Add Ons. You’ll also have to enable the Cart Module add on.

I feel like allowing items to have multiple groups and allowing subgroups would probably solve this issue.

You can Filter by 'Group by Name' to see assets with the same name grouped as one. This listing allows for drilling down further by clicking the name to see these assets individually. Hope this solves your issue.
