date on label
I've created a custom 'date received' field with date data input. When placing it on the label for printing, nothing appears?

You should be able to see the custom date field on the print label.

There is an option in custom attributes to "Make available for print label". You'll need to enable it for the value to be printed. Can you confirm if this resolves the issue
