If you need to track locations on each checkout you have two options:
Option A:
i. Have location tracked on each checkout by enabling it from Settings → Locations → ask on check out
ii. Run a report to view assignments of assets with locations from Report → Assets → Checkout events
Option B:
Create a non-login user with the name of a location and assign it the asset
