More Customizable Alerts and Access levels
We would like to see customization so that individual Admins can get alerts about tools that are tied to specific locations only. Additionally being able to assign locations to specific Admins and all related alerts for that particular location is defaulted to go to those Admins only.
It would be nice to set which custom attributes a specific user gets alerts for rather than all of them.
Having a third level of user so that field users can be set to only be able to check in assets that are on a location they are linked too (see above suggestion of linking locations to specific admins) but check out any available asset. Checking out available assets will send an alert to anyone associated with the current location of that asset being checked out.
The ability to import a list of locations from an excel document in the same manner as importing assets works.

"Meanwhile you can re-do your grouping in line with locations (if it can work for you)"
This method would only work if another users posted suggestion of having each asset able to be under multiple groups was implemented. We would need all items of a specific type under one group for the type and a second group for the "location" group.
"When you import assets, you can also specify locations in a column. Make sure that the 'if not present, create location' is checked. Would you like some enhancements to it?"
As far as my limited workings with this goes this feature only imports the title of the location. It would be nice to have a quick way to import the address information for a location.

- Currently we only have user level alerts that are customized by event type (Check in, reservation etc) and groups. We've noted your suggestion and will follow up on it. Meanwhile you can re-do your grouping in line with locations (if it can work for you). We are adding the ability to change groups of assets in bulk. It's expected to be out by start of February. You can then choose which group you want to get alerts for.
- Have you seen our User Listings Visibility setting? (Settings -> Visibility -> Limited to user listings). It allows you to define which users have access to which groups. Imagine a company has field workers who use drilling machinery. All the drilling equipment is in a group called 'Drilling Equipment'. An admin can make a user list containing these workers and call it 'Drilling People'. Then the admin can choose to show only the 'Drilling Equipment' assets to 'Drilling People'. In your case, you might want to rearrange your grouping to fit locations.
If you want this feature, write to us at support@ezofficeinventory.com and we'd turn it on for you.- When you import assets, you can also specify locations in a column. Make sure that the 'if not present, create location' is checked. Would you like some enhancements to it?
If you have any follow up questions, feel free to contact us. If its a long list, we can always arrange a call.
