    We understand the process might seem complicated but once setup, it would be easy to use on a day to day basis.
    We have another feature known as the security domains feature - which restricts visibility of items based on what group the assets belong to. In a nutshell, you can set users to only view certain groups of items. That way you can put all 'non-loanable' assets into a group which should not be visible.
    Alternatively, you can simply put all items in a group titled 'non-loanable' and maintain the system as such. This would be the easiest implementation.

    That can be achieved by settings the 'Asset level arbitration' feature on from Settings -> Add Ons. Once enabled, you can edit the assets and set enable their individual arbitration meaning staff users can not check it out. They can only request a checkout which you will have to approve.
    Alternatively, you can have those assets checked out to your self so other users cannot check it out.

    The history of an item can be viewed by going to the Asset details page from Items -> Assets -> name of Asset. Once on the page, you can scroll down to the documents and images section and click on the history tab.

    This can be achieved by settings the 'Enabled single step printing' check box from Notifications bell -> print queue.
    It allows creation of a pdf file instantly inside the system (also sent via email) which can be accessed by Notifications bell -> print queue -> recently printed labels on the right hand side of the page.

    There is no direct module in EZOffice for this. However you can checkout all the items your are shipping to that person and immediately after on the same items, take action -> request audit.
    As soon as the new custodian receives the equipment, they would have to scan the labels on the equipment and click verify possession in the mobile app.
    Note: You need to turn on the Audit feature and select mandatory scan from Settings -> Add Ons.

    Thanks for getting in touch. The location for Assets and Inventory type items can be changed directly from the Items detail page. However change of location of Asset Stock is not yet supported. We aim to have that integrated in the near term and will inform you as soon as it's live.

    We would be adding Asset stock to the reports.
    That said, to view check outs and reservations for asset stock items go to the Items -> Asset Stock -> asset stock details page -> bottom of the page.
    Additionally, the dashboard is the most practical way to keep a day to day eye on movement of Asset.

    Yes. You can use USB based barcode scanners with EZOffice. To connect a scanner, go to Settings -> Add Ons -> Hardware Integration -> Enabled.

    When purchasing a handheld scanner, make sure it allows programming of the '@' delimiter as a prefix and postfix so a barcode would be read as @123456@.

    Thank you for the suggestions. Asset Stock inherently are things that you're not tracking individually. So a particular piece from an Asset Stock # or ID can not be pin pointed for service and such services.
    Transfer of stock for Asset Stock is already planned for the near-term product roadmap. We aim to have it released by October.
    Bulk check in and check outs of asset stock are also part of the upcoming upgrade October upgrade.

    Asset level arbitration can be enabled by going to Settings -> Add Ons -> Asset level Arbitration. Once enabled, all assets will have a new attribute "Arbitration". It can be enabled for high value items meaning direct checkout is not possible for staff members. Staff members can reserve items and go through an Administrator to check it out.

    While I have requested an update to the history log for details, the history for both a custom attribute and the location updates are already maintained.
    To view the location history, go to the Asset details page -> Location Attribute -> History button on the location attribute.
    To view the history for a custom attribute, go to Items -> Custom Attributes -> Edit the attribute -> Preferences -> select Save History. Once the History is selected, on the Asset details page in front of the custom attribute, a History button will appear which can be used to view its history.

    EZOfficeInventory gives you the ability to store assets locations and sub-locations up to N levels. That means You can have the building as a top location, a floor as a sub-location, a room as a sub-sub location and so on up to as many as you want.
    This allows you to track the exact location of your assets at any given point in time.
