Discussion in comments
An error occurred while saving the comment The purpose of using QR Codes is to quickly go to a list or some details. However, bringing up the inventory at a location is a couple of touches away in the app. You can use Filters -> Location -> Choose a location. Is this workflow becoming cumbersome in some particular case?

Under discussion. See comments.
An error occurred while saving the comment The periodic depreciation is calculated using the rate specified on Group Level. When you go to a group, you'll see a depreciation rate.
If you intend to manually enter/update Depreciated Price, you can add a custom field for it (Items -> custom attributes)

An error occurred while saving the comment Can you provide an example of how this feature can be used. Will the user define such rules? e.g. for all HP Laptops where model number = 12345, have a service every 6 months.
We're also working on a recurring date alert feature. This will be a custom attribute, allowing you to set periodic date alerts e.g. every month on 1st. You can set this periodic alert for multiple assets to track services. Do you think it'll help in servicing automation?

This is on our roadmap but we’d not be tackling it in near future.
See comments for quick workarounds. An error occurred while saving the comment Moving items from one group to another is super easy in EZOfficeInventory.
If a group and its custom attribute no longer fit in with your workflows and requirements, you can create a new group. Then using our mass edit feature, you can move required items to this new group in bulk. -

Other than the ezofficeinventory.com product webpage, rest of the app is on https by default.
See more in comments. An error occurred while saving the comment The ezofficeinventory website is http by default but when you sign in, it moves to https.
Can you do the following and share your observations:
- Go to ezofficeinventory.com. It's on http
- Hit Sign-in button. The Sign-in page (or dashboard if you're already signed in) appears. It should be on https by default. Browse through the app. All links should be on https. -

An error occurred while saving the comment You'll have to enable the Cart Module and Bundles from Settings -> Add-Ons
Bundles use cart functionality so these two add ons need to be enabled.

An error occurred while saving the comment - Currently we only have user level alerts that are customized by event type (Check in, reservation etc) and groups. We've noted your suggestion and will follow up on it. Meanwhile you can re-do your grouping in line with locations (if it can work for you). We are adding the ability to change groups of assets in bulk. It's expected to be out by start of February. You can then choose which group you want to get alerts for.
- Have you seen our User Listings Visibility setting? (Settings -> Visibility -> Limited to user listings). It allows you to define which users have access to which groups. Imagine a company has field workers who use drilling machinery. All the drilling equipment is in a group called 'Drilling Equipment'. An admin can make a user list containing these workers and call it 'Drilling People'. Then the admin can choose to show only the 'Drilling Equipment' assets to 'Drilling People'. In your case, you might want to rearrange your grouping to fit locations.
If you want this feature, write to us at support@ezofficeinventory.com and we'd turn it on for you.- When you import assets, you can also specify locations in a column. Make sure that the 'if not present, create location' is checked. Would you like some enhancements to it?
If you have any follow up questions, feel free to contact us. If its a long list, we can always arrange a call.

An error occurred while saving the comment - A feature for customization of assets view is in the works and is expected to be released by early Feb.
- When you say 'sorting Group by location, are you suggesting a filter that shows you assets at a particular location? If yes, have a look at Assets->Groups->Location Detail. In this view, you see all the assets at a particular location, apply more filters to this list and take actions.
- The filters get reset after you perform an action on them from 'Actions on Assets'. We'll open a bug and let you know once it's fixed.
If you have any follow up questions, do let us know. You can also drop us a email: support@ezofficeinventory.com -

An error occurred while saving the comment You should have 'Comments on service' option checked in the Alerts tab. Now every time someone else enters a comment in a service, you will receive an email.
Please note that these comments are different from the general comments on an asset. Also this alert option is only available to admin users. (You may want to add your colleague to EZOfficeInventory as an admin, if he/she is already not there.)
For the second part of your question, can you please give some more details.
- You want some members of your company to receive some alerts that you can not find under the Alerts tab?
or
- You want to send these alerts to someone who is not listed under Members tab? -

Update: While checking out assets from mobile, you can scan a barcode on employee ID card. This barcode should be the ‘Identification Number’ on the member detail page. You can edit a member to update this ID.
You can generate a barcode online using free services. An error occurred while saving the comment With the launch of our new mobile platform, we plan on scheduling this feature in the near term.

We’ve started our work on this and it’s expected to be out by the end of this month.
An error occurred while saving the comment Not as yet, but we'll put this on our roadmap. I assume this is just for reports as the dates in the app are in the long form

An error occurred while saving the comment Can you email us (info@ezofficeinventory.com) a number where we can reach you at to discuss this in more detail.
An error occurred while saving the comment This feature already exists. If you need to expose certain information on QRCode scanning, then that can be done via the settings page.
If the need is to customize the print labels to have certain asset details, that can be done via settings -> print labelsLet us know if this is what you were looking for
We have to give a better trail to navigate through assets when you're on a detail page. You can click on the group (/subgroup) name on the asset detail page to get back to the group(/subgroup).
What do you think?
