fix issue with cloning assests
There appears to be an issue when cloning an asset. I am given the generic rails error page when hitting clone, changing the name, and then hitting create.

1 voteThere were some known issues around cloning feature. These were fixed in our Fall release.
Also , now you can have multiple clones of an asset. -
Reservations need work?
When i am on my Dashboard and looking at my calendar, I can not see current reservations. (Maybe i am missing something?)
The only way i can see reservations is to go to that specific item, and look at it's reservation, Only till then it shows that it is reserved, but does not specify my "special Note" which i write who it is for.

Reports
Be able to view inventory at various locations. We have the same item at multiple locations but cannot run a report that shows the quantity of a single item at separate locations.

Select label template from asset info page
When I select "print label" from the asset information page it would be nice to select which templet to use.

More options for the reservation of assets
Possibly add the option to restrict the ability to reserve an asset when it is already unavailable (i.e. reserved/checked out/ in for service). This might also include an option to send a denied request to an administrator for an over ride.

Checkin/ checkout notes should appear in asset "comments"
When checking out/in assets I can create a comment however when I view the asset and click "comments" I do not see the comment I created on checkout/in. The comments created at checkout/in should appear there.

change the group of more than one asset at a time
if you have more than 1 person importing lists people often think of different names; ie mobile phone and phone. it would be handy if it could either pick up that there is already a similar group and do you want to add it to that group or make a new one. OR if you could select more than 1 asset and click actions and have an option to change group

Retired Assets Don't Show Up in Search
I don't want to do a search and see retired assets. The ideal interface would be a default search on non-retired assets, and then a checkbox on the side indicating you'd like to include retired assets, as well.

Wildcard Search
I'd like to be able to do a wildcard search. For example, I have an asset labeled "6360", "6361", and "6362". I'd like to be able to type in "63*" and have it return all three of those products.
4 votesYour requirement should be fulfilled with our partial search that requires a minimum of 3 characters. So you should be able to do a partial search by typing in “636”

Default sort in members list
Can the members list be sorted alphabetically by default? Not sure what it's based on now, but I have to click to sort by name every ttime I access that list. Thanks!
1 voteMembers are now sorted alphabetically. You can change the sorting order by clicking on the column heading (Name).

Full name in "assigned to" field in custom reports.
It would be helpful to include the user's full name in the "assigned to" field in custom reports. Right now it just displays the first name.

Multiple member checkouts at one time
so that when importing a mass list of assets you can create a column of who the item is currently checked out to, and when the list imports it also matches up to current members. saving having to checkout each individual item to each member one at a time.

Project
Is there a way to add a project drop down list. When someone checks out an asset they choose the project name also?
2 votesYou can add a custom attribute named Project. You would want to select ‘Display at check-in’ and ‘Display at checkout’ for this custom attribute.

Width of Active Asset Screen

Allow QR Code pages to include documents/images
Putting QR Code labels on inventory is fantastic for overcoming the weaknesses of bar codes, but the web page is pretty limited. I have a lot of electronics and computers that come with manuals or instructions. I attach digital versions of these documents to my inventory asset and would love to make these documents available to my users or staff via the QR Code web page.
This would allow a user to easily access an associated manual by scanning the QR Code on a device. Or, an engineer or technician could access a wiring diagram or technical document associated with…

Add the option of Quantity in Assets.
In my company we rent and use assets (screens, cars, etc) and we have to check them in and out. We have multiple of each, so the inventory should include quantities.
