Sort assets by location
It would be great to be able to sort all assets by location without having to go into the locations menu and only be able to view the assets within each location.
3 votes- You can sort asset listing by Location.
1) Customize your asset listing to include location. Asset listing customization option is available at top right corner of the table (3 gray dots).
2) Once you have the Location column in your asset listing, simply click on the column heading to sort items by group.
3) A second click on the column heading will reverse the sorting order- You can use Filter → Location on asset listing to get to assets at a location.

Option to manually checkout batch of assets from the web application.
It would be extremely helpful to be able to type out the asset ID numbers into a form allowing the reservation/check-out/check-in of several different assets all at once. This way, we don't have to fill out a check-out form for each asset, instead we'd only have to fill out one check-out form for all the assets being checked out.
It would work similar to scanning, except the numbers get entered in manually from the website rather than the iPhone app.

View location history
I would like to see the location history of an asset. I.e. what the location was changed to, when it was changed, and by whom. I can view history for custom attributes if I enable the "save history" option. I would like to see something similar for asset location.
The Check In/Out History feature shows locations, but only for Checkin/Checkout events. We often edit locations manually without an associated event when an item is moved.
2 votesTo get started, switch on the location history add-on from Settings → AddOns
This was part of Halloween Candy release.

Add "Add to Cart" to Mass Actions
When you're looking at listed items, aside from "check out", "check in", etc., we should have the capability to do "Add to cart" instead of having to go to each individual page and do that.
1 voteYou should be able to see the Add To Cart option in the Actions dropdown on main asset and inventory listing (Items→ Assets or Inventory). It’s the 4th option in the dropdown. You can select multiple items and Add them to cart.

The billing starts after 15 days of signing up even if you sign up earlier than that because we do not want to take away your 15 day trial period.
You’d be seeing it after 25th of June in the billing area (Your name at top right → Settings → Billing → Invoices) This is when we would charge.

Scanning QR Code from iPad - how do you get to your results?
When scanning a QR code from the iPad, we are not seeing any way to get it to pull up the result so you can check the device out. I can send a screen shot if needed. There is "This label has already been scanned" and "Total 2 (of max 25) items have been scanned, but nothing else to select. On an android App version, you get the "completed" button so you can at least click on that and pull up the asset.
1 voteThis issue is now fixed.

Old status:
Can you try by holding the iPad in portrait orientation. You should be able to see cancel and completed buttons.Holding it in landscape orientation is messing up some display buttons. We’re looking into the issue and will fix it shortly.

Barcode scanning incorrectly
When using both IOS and Google Play devices, the IOS device adds a "0" in the beginning of the barcode. This prevents non-IOS device to NOT read the barcode as an existing item. Is this a setting on the IOS device.
1 voteThank you for pointing this issue out. It has to do with a particular encoding of UPC. We’ve fixed this issue. Do let us know if you still spot something that’s off.

Live Web Links in the App for Doc/Image Area
Would be nice if you add a link/url/website under Doc/Images - and then added as url, they they become active links in the App on phones or tablets. They are live links from the web portal, but do not appear to be live links in the apps. Most of our users will be accessing that way so would be a great enhancement.
1 voteThe links in the app are now linked URLs.

Check availability before adding bundles to the cart
Currently when you add a bundle to the cart it takes the first currently available items in each group/subgroup and adds them to the cart. That is fine if someone is checking out the equipment that day, but when future reservations overlap it is a bit tricky.
Adding the ability to enter the reservation dates before bundles/items go to the cart could then allow the software to pick from the items
2 votesYou now get ‘date fields’ to bring in only those assets that are available during this date range.
We’ve also added a clash check feature to cart. You can enter a date range to ensure that the items in your cart are available during this time period. -
Edit groups in multiple items
I would love to be able to edit the group on multiple items when you have multiple selected. Under actions this is one field I don't see and it would be nice to move several items at once to a sub group instead of going into each item.
2 votesThis feature is already available. You can change the group or subgroup of a number of items in bulk from the edit option in Actions drop down.
On the edit form, hit the Change Group button on the right to move items across groups and subgroups.

enhancements to asset images support
currently asset images are duplicated for every asset.
It is oftentimes not necessary: if you have a fleet of 20 workstations, the images are identical.
It could be nice if:
1) new asset image could be added via edit multiple assets interface (frontend)
2) existing asset image could be possible to share with another asset/assets
3) backend: that only 1 asset image were kept on server, and other assets with the same image could refer to its location1 voteAll images and documents in your account are now placed in a central location. Any file that you upload to an item or a group gets added to the library. You can also add files directly to the library, which supports uploading multiple files. You can then choose to attach pictures or documents from the library to an item or group. It also enables you to reuse a file multiple times. Have a look at Items → Documents to explore further.

Indefinitely = Turn off/on options
Hello
It would be nice if the Indefinitely could be an option that could be turned off and not something that has to be selected to turn off for each device, but an overall setting. We have devices we are checking in and out on almost a daily basis and would be nice if you didn't have select that option1 vote -

You can choose to view a cropped image which has the correct aspect ratio, or full image which may get squished.
For best results, use Square Images.
