Example I have 25 air conditioners that need the filters changed four times a year. Or 35 spin bikes that get serviced four times a year.
We’ve also added the option of making a recurring date alert. You can repeat the alert weekly, monthly or yearly.
Your ‘Service Due’ custom attribute can now be a recurring date alert and you’d not need to worry about update it every time after servicing.

We are reviewing your suggestion. In the meanwhile, you can still set up an email notification for your servicing work-flow.
1. Add a new custom attribute (say with name Service Due Date).
2. Set the type to Date Field (alert).
3. From the checkbox options for this custom attribute, check 'Send email alert'.
4. If you would like the staff users to change this date, you can check 'Editable by staff user'.
5. Choose an appropriate group association.
6. You should also make sure that 'Send Custom Attribute alert' under the Alerts tab is checked.
Now you can set a service due date for an asset. When this date arrives, you will be notified via email. Once you are done with your asset servicing, you should enter a new date and you will again be notified.
