Filters are now preserved in the CSV Export. You can now select a filter in the Checkedout Assets report for a particular person, hit update and export this report.
Did you try out importing the CSV file to excel by following the steps we mentioned?

- All data in column A
It seems that delimiter for CSV imports are not set to comma in your excel. Here is what you can do:
1. Save the exported CSV in your downloads.
2. Open Excel and import this file. In the top menu, select Data -> From Text.
3. You'll be prompted to choose a file to import. Select the EZOfficeInventory exported CSV.
4. When you hit import, you'll be asked to choose the settings. Make sure that the file type is selected to be 'Delimited' (and not 'Fixed Width').
5. In delimiters list, make sure that only 'Comma' is selected in the delimiters list (and not 'Tab' or 'Semicolon' etc)
6. Finish the import. You'll be asked where to put the data. You can choose 'This worksheet'.- Filters not preserved in the export
Thank you for pointing this out. We're opening a bug and will update you once it's fixed. -

Tried that and what happens is that every data about the assets gets bundled together in the same column(A) in excel which make it impossible to read and follow. Also assets of other members appears in the CSV list even though i choose a specific member in "Checked out to.." pressed update and then export CSV. The list on the screen look alright but is not the same as the CSV file.

Have a look at Reports -> Checkedout Assets. In this report, you can choose from 'Checked Out to' drop-down to see which assets are checked out to a particular member. From Export, you can open this report in excel and print it.
