QR Barcode for User Login
Would you be able to generate a QR barcode assigned to a user? We would like to be able to scan a user barcode and the equipment/assets they are checking out in one shot. Or a QR barcode that would automatically log in a user. Please let me know if this is possible or a feature I overlooked.
1 voteThis is possible. Here is how:
- There is a field called Identification Number with every member
- If your staff have ID cards with barcodes, you can enter the barcode sequence in this field. If they don’t you can add a unique number in this field and then create barcodes online for these number.
e.g. http://www.barcodesinc.com/generator/index.php can be used to make barcodes- Now on the mobile app, when you’re checking out items, you can touch the camera icon on the ‘Checkout to’ field. This will invoke the mobile camera and you can scan the barcode of a member to checkout items to him/her
This will be the checkout experience on mobile:
Scan a bunch of items which you want to check out.
Then choose checkout from actions.
On ‘checkout to’ field, touch the camera icon and scan the barcode of the person you want to check out items… -
Fix updating asset number
I cannot change the asset number of an Asset.
Changing asset #1 to #9999. Click update.
Go back to list of assets. No change is made.
Tried Safari and Chrome on OS X.

How to enter check-in date
We enter assets few months back. Now we want to add check-in dates. How to do it?
1 voteCheck-in Due/Return date
- You can enter a checkin due date (return date) when you check out items to employees.
- To change the checkin due date, you can select these items and from actions, ‘Extend Check-in’. And use the new checkin due date here.Purchase Date/Item added to EZOfficeInventory
- If by check in you mean, the date of purchase of an item, it can be changed from Select an item→ Edit → Purchased On.
- You can also select a bunch of items on the asset listing and then choose edit option from Actions to mass edit the Purchased On date.
- Default behavior: For every asset, this date is the actual date when you added that asset to EZOfficeInventory -
Previous package items cannot be put into a new package
A previously deleted package will make the items from that package unable to be added to a new package. This is more of a glitch than a suggestion. I need to be able to either edit a package, which you cannot do, or delete the package and recreate a different one using some or all of the same items.

Remove inactive users from search
I don't mind that Inactive users are in the system. I don't want them showing up every time I do a search. I am having to put fake info on the users so they don't show up and I think there is a bug because it won't let me change their email address.

PO Order with view access
We have branches, and we would like them to create a purchase order after seeing our stock, then an email would come to our head office and then we would authorise it, and it will then deduct the stock that we have.
1 voteYou can enable this functionality from Settings → Add-Ons → Request Fresh Stock.
Have a look at the ‘Request Stock’ button on inventory detail page. -
How to add Custom Column for bulk import upload
Our organization needs to track the "asset donation value" against the price/revenue of the asset
1 voteYou can add this custom field from Items → Custom Attribute. Once you have the custom field in here, you can have data imported to it from excel sheet.

Assign devices outside of user listing
I'd like to be able to restrict staff users to only see one user listing, while assigning them an asset from another user listing. They could see the asset checked out to them, but not the other assets in that user listing.
1 voteHave a look at Settings → Company Settings → Visibility → Limited to Userlistings → Allow assignment of asset to users outside their User Listing
Have the “Allow assignment…” option checked:
- admins will be able to assign any asset to any user
- supervisors will be able to assign any asset in their listing to any user
- staff users will continue to see assets that are only in their listing OR are checked out to them -
Asset Custody List on mobile app
Would it be possible for the mobile app to show what the logged in user is meant to have in their custody at that given time. Also within that area they could be able to do their own mini audit on those particular tools?

Wide Screen View
Would be good if we can click a button at the top of each page to widen the view. When looking at our assets on the assets page we are limited to how many columns of information we can see. Making the view option to go wider (ie fit your monitors res) then you'll be able to fit more information in.

EZ Office monthly invoice
I would like to be able to print our monthly invoice from EZ Office on a regular basis from our EZ Office website. Currently I receive the invoice by email. Is there a way to get previous invoices?

Audit tab in app for administrators
Would be good for any administrator to just quickly tap a "Quick Audit" tab on the mobile app, it then asks for location and then scan as many assets as you can to update locations of assets.
For example I can go in to our tool stores and audit everything in there in a matter of minutes.
1 voteWe’ve added an option for users to scan items and then update location. (Scan a bunch of items → Choose Edit from actions → Choose Location)
Let’s say you’re auditing items at 201 East Manhattan. You can walk into this store and start scanning labels. Then say Actions → Update → Location and choose 201 East ManhattanAs admin, you are able to run Asset Scans report and see which items were scanned where.

Bin Locations & Pick Lists
Maybe we could have a more detailed view on the location within a location. For example bin locations! Taking it further we could create pick lists from what we put in the cart and then print out pick lists showing the bin locations of what needs to be collected to fulfill an order?
1 voteWe’ve added an option in Cart, where you can specify a location to get items from.
If you have physical addresses attached to your locations, you can:
- Only pull up items in the cart that are XY miles away from the specified location
- Sort items to pick from in a way that the closest one is shown at the top and farthest one is shown at the bottom in the list -
Broaden the Avery Template options
I have Avery 5260 (works with 5160 template), yet cannot configure the labels in order to print correctly. It's been extremely frustrating!

Create a "close the window" button for Feedback Pop-Up
I suggest to add a "close" button to the Feedback or Idean window so when the Feedback & Idea Window pops up you have an option to close the window without leaving feedback or posting an idea.

Issues with retiring
"Asset could not be retired because either it is currently Checked out or is in maintenance state or there is conflict with checkout history"
We have been getting this error when trying to retire any asset. The asset is not currently checked out, nor is it under maintenance.
Please give me an update to what could be causing this problem.

1 voteThere was a corner case glitch in checkout events clash check with retirement date. It’s now fixed. Thank you for bringing it up!
