How to enter check-in date
We enter assets few months back. Now we want to add check-in dates. How to do it?
1 voteCheck-in Due/Return date
- You can enter a checkin due date (return date) when you check out items to employees.
- To change the checkin due date, you can select these items and from actions, ‘Extend Check-in’. And use the new checkin due date here.Purchase Date/Item added to EZOfficeInventory
- If by check in you mean, the date of purchase of an item, it can be changed from Select an item→ Edit → Purchased On.
- You can also select a bunch of items on the asset listing and then choose edit option from Actions to mass edit the Purchased On date.
- Default behavior: For every asset, this date is the actual date when you added that asset to EZOfficeInventory -
Fix updating asset number
I cannot change the asset number of an Asset.
Changing asset #1 to #9999. Click update.
Go back to list of assets. No change is made.
Tried Safari and Chrome on OS X.

QR Barcode for User Login
Would you be able to generate a QR barcode assigned to a user? We would like to be able to scan a user barcode and the equipment/assets they are checking out in one shot. Or a QR barcode that would automatically log in a user. Please let me know if this is possible or a feature I overlooked.
1 voteThis is possible. Here is how:
- There is a field called Identification Number with every member
- If your staff have ID cards with barcodes, you can enter the barcode sequence in this field. If they don’t you can add a unique number in this field and then create barcodes online for these number.
e.g. http://www.barcodesinc.com/generator/index.php can be used to make barcodes- Now on the mobile app, when you’re checking out items, you can touch the camera icon on the ‘Checkout to’ field. This will invoke the mobile camera and you can scan the barcode of a member to checkout items to him/her
This will be the checkout experience on mobile:
Scan a bunch of items which you want to check out.
Then choose checkout from actions.
On ‘checkout to’ field, touch the camera icon and scan the barcode of the person you want to check out items… -

It says "USER NAME" checked out asset. It should say asset was assigned to "USER NAME".

How to create a subgroup within a group
1 voteTo create a subgroup:
- go to Items → Groups
- click on the group that you want to create subgroups for
- on the group detail page, you’ll see a button on the right that says: Add Subgroup

You can also set up a custom report (last report option under the Reports tab) to include only those data points that are important to you. -
Post commments in e-mail alerts for sales/ puchase inventory
We receive the comments (in e-mail alerts) when assets are singed in/out or reserved. We need the comments to be in the e-mail alerts for the inventory alert. The comments show us what job the inventory needs to be billed to.

1 voteGroups that have items in them can not be deleted unless you move the items out of that group. To move items out, you can select them from the main listing and from actions choose Edit. On the Mass Edit page, hit the Change Group button on the right. And move these items to another group.

Questions regarding product groups, subgroups and images.
1) Is there a way we can pull products based on groups or subgroups?
What we are trying to do is create a daily pull job of our inventory from EZ Office and update our ecommerce platform thats built on Ruby on Rails.
The idea is that if EZ Office has all the data entered properly when products arrive to our location and are added into our inventory software (EZ Office). "Stock" pictures
We use a lot of the same computer... is there any way to upload reusable images to our account so every time I enter a new item I can pick an image from my list of stock images?

can you just customize your own headings?
i am doing a simple office supplies inventory with re-order points.
I need headings like "re-order" "in-stock" "order amount"

Group reassignment
I am trying to reassign a group. I can change the group but it won't save the change
1 voteItems can be moved from one group to another. You’d need to select a bunch of items and choose Edit from the Action dropdown. On the edit page, you’d see the Change Group button.

Allow staff users to be able to see assets nested under locations.
As an administrator, I can click on the location in an asset's description and it takes me to a list of all assets nested under that location. I can also search for locations.
Right now, staff users do not have this ability and it's a huge problem for us.

They can also customize their listing (from top right of the asset listing table – the 3 grayed dots) to show location in the table.

Print directly to local printer
I would like to be able to print labels directly to local label printer from the application instead of having the labels emailed to me.

Create a checked out to box
I like that you can see who checked the item out, but also need a field that defines who it was checked out to. This would be best as a manually entered field as opposed to a list box.
I will use the comments box like others are doing, but this does not show up on the Checked out Assets report, so you cannot see at a glance who has the equipment.1 voteWe track the logged in member taking the action and this does show up in the reports.

Crop (not squish) asset images on "Assets" thumbnails view.
It would be more convenient and more attractive if the image thumbnails for the assets were not squished. Currently every image I have for assets appears at an incorrect aspect ratio, which is bothersome while browsing the assets page. For a lot of my assets, it is important to be able to distinguish small details at a glance.

You can choose to view a cropped image which has the correct aspect ratio, or full image which may get squished.
For best results, use Square Images.

pre fill out price of add stock
I tried the add stock option on my phone. The system already has the value of the item in inventory, so once i put quantity then the system should calculate and fill in the value. We should not have to do double the work. All we want to do is scan the label, enter the quantity, and then log it into the proper location. The system so calculate the total value of the added stock.

I would like to see my staffs work schedule on the dashboard where your asset schedule is.
