Filter assets by keyword
It would be helpful to filter assets "by keyword." This would enable users to quickly "select all" and perform an action on assets.

When you put something in the search bar, have the Assets filter ON (this is a drop down in the search bar).
When you search with Assets filter on, the results are presented in the normal asset listing. You select them and take actions, as required. -
Allow location freeform on app
Please create an option for the app user to type in a new location when checking out an asset. This is essential for the app to actually work for us as our users are out on location oftentimes without access to a computer or the website. Thanks!
1 voteYou can create new locations within the mobile app on asset detail page.
Alternatively you can:
- Create a new custom attribute called Freeform Location
- Select for ‘Display at Checkout’. You might also want to check ‘Save History’ to keep a record of these freeform locations.
- Associate this custom attribute to all groups (or specific ones as per your requirement).
- Hit ‘Add Attribute’
Now every time someone checks out an asset through the mobile app, freeform location can be specified. -
email notifications when an asset is due
Hello,
We have noticed that the EZ office inventory doesn't seem to have an option that sends the administrative users emails when an asset that was checked out is due or overdue.
Is it possible to turn on that option for users to receive such emails or notifications, other than just having the dashboard display what is due1 voteThis should work now

associate custom to group
This doesn't seem to work. I have a custom field I created and associated with only 1 of my groups, yet it shows up for all groups. This is an issue because I am using it for mobile phones and I do not want Android OS version to show up on iPhones and iOS version shouldn't show up on Androids. They show up on both.

add the serial number to display in the Smart Phone App
some items are oddly shaped and therefore cannot have a label put on them, it would be handy when looking at assets on the app if we could see the serial number so we dont have to guess.

We assume you are referring to inventory. You can ‘add stock’ to add stock items and ‘new sale’ to remove them.

custom fields updated on old assets
When the contents of custom list fields are updated, those should update on Assets too. Changing the order of selections or adding new selections to a field doesn't seem to update on Assets that already have that field.
1 voteThe custom attribute field name does change when that custom attribute is updated. For Multiple Choice, the choice options also update accordingly.
Are we missing something? -
Add a search function
It would be great to be able to locate an asset among 1000+ assets quickly. Or be able to quickly look up a certain employee and find the asset(s) assigned to him/her.

Alerts for users that items are over due
I think it would be great if we could send out a message via the system on the fly alerting people of overdue items. I understand that your system sends out automated emails? Is there a wat aside from going to the user to verify one was sent out?

asset check in through iphone
When I do a asset check in through my iphone, it doesn't not show that the asset is in my custody on my colleagues desktop.

make it easier to access the scan label mode
I'm new to EZ Office Inventory but it seems that the only way to access the the scan label mode is when you first log in. After you're in the app I don't see anyway of getting back to the scan mode, except logging out and logging back in.

i want to see all my profit and cost to see my bénifice
1 voteHave a look at Reports → Inventory Reports → Stock Summary. This report gives you the total cost and sale price for a stock quantity.

add quantity option to assets
I understand that you can create quantities for inventory, but the problem is that you can not associate inventory to an asset. For example, I have batteries for all the gear I send out. No one needs to check these out individually, but If I have an asset for each (about 40) and I associate those assets then there is the chance of check out conflicts. If there was one asset with a quantity then I would know how many batteries I have and I could checkout the package and wouldn't have to jump through hoops to check out a…

No Idea, need help with the mobile app.
I need to scan an item via my mobile and update it's location. Is this possible? I can't figure out how to update the location from my phone.
1 voteYou’ll need to log into the browser based site to configure. Once logged in go to Settings → Advanced Settings
Check ‘Ask on Checkout’ for locationsNow if you use the mobile app to checkout, you’ll be prompted with a dialog that has a location field in it.
